Recently, a woman posted on our Next Door complaining that expressions of religious belief were allowed. Not even people trying to convert anyone or recommending their house of worship, but just people expressing gratitude or offering comfort using the words God or bless. This enraged her because she said she had been ensured Next Door was free of religion. She argued with dozens of people before it was deleted. I saw a couple posts point out that she herself had posted recently to ansk about tickets to the holiday lights at Brookside Gardens.
A man in our usps went on an anti-religious rant once because he saw a card on their spinning rack that he said represented Christianity. He wanted it removed because usps is a government agency. He was livid a Christian greeting card was present on the premises. It was disturbing because the usps agent was so nice and this man was so rude and angry. The supervisor came out into the area where customers wait in line and removed the card and the man still wasn’t happy; we left because I had my kids with me and he was acting agitated. He kept arguing with the employees who you know had nothing to do with the selection of greeting cards present in the lobby.
