The tax increases are a minimum tax for profitable companies with over $1 billion in revenue and a 1% surtax on buybacks. That's nothing. A technical recession was inevitable since deficit spending was reduced by $2 trillion this year. Inflation will work its way through as the spending that was pushed forward during the pandemic slows down. The economy is in surprisingly good shape. The sky is not falling and a basic limitation on accounting gimmicks is not a big deal.[/quote]
