Yeah it exists. Those that continue to dismiss it are part of the problem. https://hbcugameday.com/2022/02/14/howard-university-womens-lacrosse-received-vulgar-threats-before-game/ https://www.insidelacrosse.com/article/howard-targets-of-racist-misogynistic-abuse-at-presbyterian/58922
Its unacceptable but Im wondering what the school could have done to stop that, assuming they aren't students. If they are students, you would need proof of identity. The players on Presb. were horrified as was the coach.
Get the police over there and get the rednecks out of there. That’s what they could have done. The home team could have got one of there coaches or some other rep of the school to go up there. Sounds like the home school tried to initially turn a blind eye, until they started hearing complaints. Typical white supremacist behavior.
https://www.insidelacrosse.com/article/howard-targets-of-racist-misogynistic-abuse-at-presbyterian/58922 The PC administration failed Howard U's women lacrosse team. Glad to read the PC coach took some action. Healy-Silcott said that Presbyterian coach Eric Clakeley came out of his locker room as the incident was going on “pretty frantic,” called a member of the administration, informed the police and shut down the behavior, but that the individuals who shouted the abuse were in the stands during the game. As for how her team felt on Saturday, Healy-Silcott said, “The unfortunate truth is it’s nothing new. We have to learn to compartmentalize because we have a job to do. I’ve already talked about when we’re going to decompress with this. I’ve given them the space to talk if they need to. I’ve prepared them from what’s happened and what will happen on social media and talked to them about not being silenced, and not feeling like I don’t want them to say anything, but being smart about what we post and not getting sucked into an ugly online battle.”
