I wanted to pull some cards to see the energy surrounding your relative and I pulled the 3 of Swords, the 10 of Cups and the Queen of Cups. I feel like this relative is in a great deal of pain and that they look at your happiness and emotional stability and it makes them jealous. So the comments and speaking poorly of you feel to be coming from a place of pain. It does not make it right, but sometimes can be easier to "see" when you look at like that. When I asked what you can do to restore calm I pulled the 6 of Swords, the Knight of Pentacles, the 2 of Wands, The Hermit and 7 of Cups. I am being pulled towards saying walking away is the best option. I understand that you cannot cut them out completely, but SEVERELY limiting contact may be the next best thing. I feel like you can plan a strategy for yourself where you can connect with them when you absolutely need to. I think that is where some grounding work will really help you. Learning to take what is yours and leaving what isn't is something you will have to learn in order to not take on their energy. There is a decision to be made about this relationship and you will need to be introspective to find the true answer.
