The bigger risk is the moderate Rs retire and the crazy Rs can’t beat the Ds in upcoming elections.[/quote] Sure they will. They have in the past. There is actually common ground on lots of stuff but the party usually sticks with its own, for tactical reasons. If senators feel strongly enough about what is happening with the party and want to stop it, they will put pressure on McConnell to take their side by threatening to break ranks on things. It’s happened before.[/quote]
