Good point about exclusion with the advanced classes...but I think it would be easier for the instructors if there was some mandate that clients take a beginner class just to learn the moves before moving into the regular classes. Oh no!  They should totally give you a water bottle. :)

The super[solid]s I have taken have been full and waitlisted.  So while people drop, there are usually enough on the waitlist to make a full class of people who really, really want to be there.  And I have had people come to, say, Arms and Abs with one of the toughest instructors for their first class, either because they don't know any better or because they think they're fit and it will be fine.  I want to welcome new people, but it does change the experience when an advanced class has new people in it.  If they end up next to me, I try to be a good role model for working hard and moving slowly, etc.

My strategy for keeping classes tough is take at 6am, and especially with said tough coach.  The 6am crews tend to be pretty hard core, although I realize that time slot doesn't work for everyone.[/quote]
