Thanks, I guess that gives me 2.5 more months to come up with an alternative.

I've been upset about the monthly membership price increase since it was announced, and like PPs, I got a lot of sympathy from coaches but haven't been able to solicit a response from Corporate.
Now that the end of 2018 is only 5 months away, I want to figure out some way to raise this issue and actually get heard. Long-term, regular members don't get anything special and we are paying a TON. There are no showers, we still only have the short cancellation window...how about opening up the schedule for monthly members a day earlier? How about advanced-only classes (other than the occasional [supersolid] where you can only attend if you've taken 50 or 100 classes? There are a lot of us out there now and it would make for a better member experience.
Anne M. is approachable in person. Maybe a few people sit down with her?

Good point about exclusion with the advanced classes...but I think it would be easier for the instructors if there was some mandate that clients take a beginner class just to learn the moves before moving into the regular classes. I totally get why [solidcore] went to Class Pass, but I've noticed this summer that almost every class has new clients and instructors have to take a lot of time with a few people. Happy to have more people in the sc fold but as we all know, it takes awhile to get up to speed!

I'm set through the month but back to debating with myself how much I want to continue solidcore past that point. I feel like I can get a good arms and legs workout on my own, core, not so much. Would love any suggestions!

Also, OP, you shouldn’t get your name called out based on skill. Those struggling need it just as much. You acknowledged it was petty to look over and think you are kicking butt, but that vibe does bleed into the class on occasion. It’s the one that annoys me.
If someone students want to act like groupies, I find it odd but not really bothersome, as long as the instruction corrects me/calls my name. I’d say the instructor should call out for everyone, but the truth it, I can’t keep track of something like that in class.
I think you misunderstood me: I was being petty about wanting praise from the teacher for (IMO) doing well, not because I thought I was better than someone. I'm the first person to encourage a new client or give a high five or ask how someone's doing, particularly when I haven't seen them in a while.
And the bigger issue isn't really how clients act, it's how the coaches respond to certain behaviors. I don't care if people act like groupies, but I do care if a coach rewards that behavior. I don't expect every class to have an exactly equal amount of praise for everyone, because that's virtually impossible to track, but I do expect the coaches to be professional during class. As I said, I consider some of the coaches friends, but I've never, ever felt like they give me special treatment for that during class, nor would I want them to. We're all in it together, as far as I'm concerned.
