Zip 22180 Parent referred WISC-V Full Scale IQ 126 Verbal Comp 121 Visual Spatial 119 Fluid Reasoning 121 Working Memory 112 Processing Speed 132 GBRS 16 Did not get in. We're surprised.
We went from private to public, using only the WISC as well. Our kid got in with a 134 Full scale - the processing speed was actually the worst score and they person who did the test explained that in private schools, the urgency portion is often missing. You may want to retake the WISC, get more samples, recommendations, see if you can bump up. I agree that the GBRS was probably ignored. What were cogat and nnat?
We didn't do those because we were coming from private school....
Well, in that case, the GBRS is, as far as I can tell from these boards, ignored, and the WISC scores do not seem high enough for admission, particularly looking at the break down. I would have been surprised if your child was admitted based on what I read here.
