Best = higher test scores = higher percentage of attending elite colleges Diversity in almost all cases = lower on those two metrics Look I'm just reflecting human nature. Why do school districts that are more diverse have lower home values????
NP here. HEre's my question to you. Why do you feel that your child needs a less diverse school to do well? Why do you feel that you need other kids with high test scores to pull up your child's test scores? Isn't your child capable of doing the best that she/he can regardless of how diverse the school is? My child surely can. I just don't get why someone would feel that someone's test scores are going to be higher at Churchill vs Northwest HS?
DP. Because the kids are "higher caliber" -- meaning, there are fewer poor/black/brown kids. Top PP is using "diversity" to mean "poor/black/brown kids". That's not what the word means, though.
