Who does Centreville Parent think should be moved out of Centreville? Does she/he agree that the BRES apartment kids should be kept at Centreville?
I'm curious about this too. Someone needs to get moved to Westfield from CVHS. That was one of the main reasons Skyview was purchased. Which area makes most sense? We all agree that the apartment kids who are closer to CVHS should stay, right?
I don't agree that overcrowding at CVHS was truly a "main reason" why FCPS bought KAA. The main reasons why Skyview were purchased were (1) a long-standing promise to give Floris/Oak Hill its own high school, which had been reflected in the CIP for many years; (2) what the School Board viewed as a unique opportunity or bargain purchase to acquire an existing school; and (3) overcrowding at Chantilly. Overcrowding at CVHS was abating and there was already a plan to renovate and expand the school. Citing overcrowding at CVHS and Westfield (which has trailers but is technically under capacity) were more in the nature of made-up justifications, about as important in the scheme of things as the statements that buying KAA would allow for some Oakton kids to have shorter commutes (which we all know has now gone by the wayside).
