Giving them the kind of power you're stupidly talking about ceding is exactly how that power gets turned against innocent but marginalized people. I don’t think that you read the last line of what I wrote.  It’s all terrible, but if they were to finally admit that the second amendment isn’t about tyranny, or government overreach, or whatever BS they’ve had us believing, whatever.  We’ve been killing each other for decades in the name of some greater good that clearly does actually exist in real life.

If this isn’t the exact time that people should be thinking about second amendment rights then it’s stupid, anyway.
