The new system beginning in 2026-27 that was proposed for youth soccer is a school year model which runs from August 1 to July 31st each year.

Our top U13 and older teams participate in MLS Next League which follows calendar year birth. So we have decided to stay in that model giving all our youth players the ability to make the MLS Next roster at U13.

Changes to rosters will occur when players get to U13. This year that will affect our 2013 and 2014 birth year players.

In collaboration as a staff the boys YDP will follow BIRTH YEAR for teams next year:

What does this mean? Very simply players will be grouped based on the year of birth.

For 2026-27 Year

2020 Birth Year= U7's

2019 Birth Year= U8's

2018 Birth Year= U9's

2017 Birth Year= U10's

2016 Birth Year = U11's

2015 Birth Year= U12's

We will hold a YDP wide Zoom meeting to discuss reasons and how it will work when players get to U13 age group.
