My mom was like this too until my dad finally left her for another woman. He's a narcissist but my mom also met him when she was 14 yrs old. So I don't support the claim that Cassie was groomed when she was a full adult during her Diddy relationship. My dad was also poorer than my mom and Diddy is super rich so Cassie stayed for the $$ and lifestyle she had [/quote]I'm the person you quoted. Sounds more like a dependency issue honestly. I guess I would call my mother's relationship abusive but only because I saw yelling, screaming, throwing matches and my dad always had a short temper and he hid my mom when she was younger and he even hit me once when I was a kid and my mom was super dependent on my dad for all her life. I still wouldn't consider Cassie to be groomed though. Abused yes but she was an adult woman with super rich man. Without that abuse people would say that she's only with him for the money, but obviously the money had something to do with it with her staying because I doubt that she would have stayed if diddy was a Popeyes or Wendy's worker.
