Considering Valor is what 3 years old not sure how anyone young that started there is old enough to prove one way or another.   On a side note ya'll are crazy don't act like 99% of parents sign their kid up for the league closest to their house.   From there they may learn there are other options out there but to blanket statement say "real players" don't start with Valor.  Please tell me what is an 8 year old real player in your mind? This. Nobody has time to drive to Arlington or Maryland to these awesome clubs. Also it is hard to make a top team when they already have established teams. How often does it happen that a newcomer gets an invite to the top team? Even during tryouts they focus on their own kids [/quote]

Definitely regret turning down an offer for a top team elsewhere to stay with a top team at Valor. On one hand DC is probably getting more playing time at Valor than they would have at other club, and it's good for their confidence to be valued. On the other hand, coaching probably not as good and the talent pool is not deep enough for the team to be successful as a whole. Really hoping DC can break in somewhere else because I don't know if they would want to go a step down in terms of competition level. But I don't see Valor suddenly attracting more talent given their reputation. I wish I knew what I know now when my kid was younger... [/quote]
