Why are people who aren't obscenely rich "failures"? They may be doing very important jobs you may need them for some day (cancer research, college teaching, etc). These are jobs that often pay a decent but not amazing salary yet require lots of education and knowledge and are contributing a lot to society. These people also likely value education and would like to send their kuds to private school. If they left their fields to do something that pays more (if that were even feasible), you'd be in a bind if you ever git sick or when you want to send your special snowflake to college.
I don't know, your argument doesn't really resonate with me. I live in a neighborhood with tons of really well educated people - Nobel prize winners, Doctors, artists, writers, scientists, etc. - all of us value education. And all of us send our kids to local public school, which is excellent. I don't think your problem is FA. I think your problem is that you live in the wrong neighborhood.
This isn't the point. It doesn't matter whether they send their kids to public or private. My point is that they aren't "failures." The Nobel prize winners, doctors, artists, scientists, etc., are smart and accomplished people doing important things. Just because they aren't rich doesn't make them lazy failures.
