Yep it was. So why would the Clintons also honor the legacy of the Stars and Bars?
The fourth star was added to the Arkansas state flag in 1923. Were the Clintons alive then?
Might want to take a gander at this article, complete with document signed by Bill http://thefederalist.com/2015/06/22/hillary-clintons-history-with-the-confederate-flag/
I have no idea why that bill was necessary, but all it does is state that the star added to the flag in 1923, before the Clintons were born as I said above, was added to represent the Confederacy. All the bill does is state what the history of the flag is.
Bill did nothing to change it. He confirmed it - the document is dated 1987 and he signed it. Document approved March 7, 1987. Then there are the campaign buttons. Do I personally care? No. Do I think the outrage against Haley and the state of SC is a cause celebre? Yes.
This is exactly why I deleted your first post. This is completely irrelevant to today's topic. I don't think any of us have a clue about what was going on in Arkansas in 1987. We do know that in 2000, the flag in South Carolina was controversial and that controversy led to it being removed from the Capitol Building and placed in its current location. So, this is not a new controversy. Obviously, Roof brought renewed attention to the flag. In a few minutes, Haley will call for the removal of the flag. You are on the wrong side of history.
I am fine with Nikki Haley taking the flag down. It was her decision and SC's decision all along. You assumed I supported the flag and therefore support racism. I support their right to fly the flag and support their right to take it down. That's called freedom. What happened in 1987 is VERY relevant. The absolute bullying of Nikki Haley and the people of SC as result of that flag, while ignoring Bill and Hillary Clinton's association with it? With her a presidential candidate? If that flag is what you say it it - racist - then it had NO business in AK either. Yet Bill and Hillary thought it important. I believe you deleted the posts because it did not fit your narrative. Whether or not you were aware of it until I posted it, I can't guess. I believe you wanted to hide the information from DCUM posters due to the arguments you made. I find that disingenuous. YMMV but that's my opinion.
