I posted at 10:08 and the reason I know is that I talk to my child's teacher. You keep saying your child's teacher is dismissive - part of that may be in how you are coming across. If your attitude with him/her is anything like what you've expressed here, I'd probably blow you off too. Teachers have busy, stressful jobs, and they don't have time to deal with every petty, histrionic thing parents bring to their attention. If you want to be constructive, ask for a meeting with the principal and try to be rational in addressing your concerns.[/quote]
