The job market is way better than MoCo - not even comparable. Schools are comparable and in better shape (MCPS schools are literally mold filled and deteriorating across the county). And the good things about MoCo, like diversity, exist in NoVa, too. And from a state perspective, the university system in VA is miles above MD. I say this as a proud Terp.

MoCo has very few areas that are really thriving. And areas like Rockville Pike and Rio are fine but stagnating.

So yes, doesn’t make me happy, but NoVa is nicer and MoCo is on a continued trajectory of decline. I blame MoCo’s feckless county council. [/quote]
