Sorry but you strike me as Al Bundy/Uncle Rico type. Sports is life. Der.

Some of us are looking to optimize sports and academics. I also seriously doubt you actually know much about D3, but why would you I guess. Wash U roster is loaded. GA and ECNL members that could have played almost anywhere.  One was on the Canadian National team for u17.   But you wouldn't have a clue about that.

I dont get why people get so hung up on D1. A third of freshmen girls entered the portal. Want to guess how many did in D3?

But you enjoy the job prospects of a Coppin State or Arkansas Pine Bluff degree while the Canadian National Team member majors in data science at Wash U 🤣

Anyone with club experience can make a D3 team somewhere in the country.   But same poster keeps making this about academics. At that point it’s not about soccer it’s about education. So i would expect you are picking schools based off and not basing it off where you can play meaningless D3 soccer.  [/quote]Correct. It’s obvious their DD is a 2026 or 2027 with no Division 1 offers so they are trying to make this about academics. Surprised we haven’t heard the other common excuses, she wants a small school or she wants to stay close to home.

They can’t grasp that as far as soccer goes their DD failed them. All the time and money spent on club soccer for nothing. The poster obviously has anger at this and is trying to cope.

We get it she is very smart but if she was that good at soccer she would be committed to an Ivy, if your true belief was academics first!

I'm not sure if you're trolling or not? If not, D1 is a failure as well if the player doesn't go on to play professionally, in the Olympics, or the World Cup. All that money for it to come to an end in four short years, then she's no different than any other college grad.[/quote]

If money is an issue, I can see the appeal. If a family has money saved for an Academic school, than that is a weak arguement. Johns Hopkins > Florida Gulf Coast. By 1000 miles. I'm paying the difference.
