They married in 2002 when they were late 30s so they were only married a dozen years before she was diagnosed. I'd been picturing them getting married in their early 20s and having been married for decades. Either way, it's sad all around. Horribly sad to be diagnosed so young and have no recognition of your children. No judgment here on how the husband is handling it. [/quote]
