She has sandals similar to (but not exactly the same as) the fit flops that an earlier person posted, which are reasonable, normal sandals. Being an older person does not mean that you are compelled to pick unattractive styles.  People can dress nicely for the age that they are.  [/quote]

DP.  Oh come on!  I'm 40 -- I don't want people to think I look 80, and I also don't want people to think I look 20.  Not hard to understand.

There have been several links posted lately that look comfortable but not orthopedic.  (Like that pair of fitflops, those were not bad at all.)  The fact that they exist makes it all the more strange that middle-aged women are instead buying these orthopedic-looking just simply unattractive shoes.
