Wait, you don't think devoting any space at all to something used by 25,000 people would be justified? How's that? By your standard, should we also rip out the sidewalks, since only 51,000 people walk to work, which is clearly not as many as drive, carpool, or mass transit?[/quote]

127k driving by themselves with nobody else in the car is the single biggest problem.  That could be turned into 7k buses and massively reduce traffic.

There is seriously something in the air here that I've never seen in other cities I've lived in. Even Philadelphia, which is infamous for its rude populace, doesn't have the same level of entitlement and cutthroat culture. People here are very zero-sum. Everything has to have a winning and a losing side, even things that aren't sided.
