You realize a big reason why Apple ballot candidates do well is because MCEA is one of the biggest (probably the biggest) political action groups in the county, with advertising and ground-game activities that can't be matched by anyone else.

And good on them, I guess, but how have parents been suckered into perceiving this as a benevolent organization rather than a workers union acting in their own self-interest? I think after the school reopening fight you'll see less people blindly accept Apple ballot candidates, but I think a lot of people never put things together that Apple Ballot means specifically union-endorsed.[/quote]
