That last comment does so much collateral damage. Yes, the PP you're responding to is being obtuse. But the "just-so" stories where a wife will want to have sex with a husband if only he'd be a better listener and more attentive just aren't true in a lot of cases. Creating a presumption that a wife's lack of sexual interest is a reflection on a husband's worth as a man and as a husband makes it so much harder for couples to work through these things. If a wife gets some horrible disease, it's much easier for a husband to live without sex without a lot of resentment. Because he knows it's not her judging him as unworthy. [/quote]

Of.course.  The pp is someone who only values herself for her power to withhold sex.  She resents.her.husbamd because in order to exert power she has to deny him.sex.  it's frustrating because it's so pointless and self destructive and she doesn't want to face up to it.  The nasty comment at the end isn't a bug, it's a primary feature.  She's a bitter nasty harpy who has a constant black cloud floating over her.  It's so silly.  These nasty women don't have sex with their husbands because they're just nasty people.[/quote]
