I don’t know. I’m naturally quite thin and always have been, and DH has always seemed attracted to me, has never mentioned weight at all. I guess I am what some of you are calling “skinny” at 5’6 and 118-120, but I’ve gotten tons of male attention my whole life. I do not look bony or “like a teenage boy” or whatever else has been said. I am very small boned and have delicate feminine features, shapely legs, a round bubble butt, small but perky breasts, hourglass waist-to-hips proportions. Thin does not mean shapeless, beautiful bodies come in all shapes and sizes. Stop being so critical.
+1. I’m actually an above poster who said I get more attention at a bit of a higher weight (BMI of 22 vs my typical BMI of 20) but how we look at different weights is so dependent on body type, height, proportions etc. Many gorgeous skinny women look best very thin and it sounds like you are a stunner at your weight. Each woman is going to have a unique experience depending on her own features and assets.
DP +1 and I think confidence in ones own body goes a long way in making that body attractive. You could be in a healthy range and look unattractive if you don’t carry yourself with poise and grace. You can be at the heavier or lighter end of normal and be incredibly sexy if you carry yourself that way. I find a lot of overweight or obese people, however, look unattractive inside and out because of low self-esteem. They dress in tent-like clothing and have given up.
I'm also 5'6" and 120, and have been for 20 years, and have gotten loads of male attention/been scouted by a modeling agent. it's definitely a good looking weight/height. But I'm also coming around to the belief that I might also look just fine at 130, and my husband may even enjoy it.
