Why would you "feel the need" to criticize the club? Shouldn't you just take your win and move on with your life?
Is this the sentiment that Metro parents or coaches feel about criticism? This criticism seems fair even though poorly communicated by PP. It doesn't mean there ins't a valid reason for what PP saw, just means PP saw what he saw.
I think it is more of why do you even care enough to comment. It honestly never, ever occurred to me to go on a website and criticize another club after a game. I honestly just don’t get it. There have been lots of games where opposing parents were terrible, or a coach but I never felt compelled to post about it. It is a game, kids play, some teams/clubs are better than others and that’s the end of it. And, frankly, if my kids team won any criticism of the other team seems at best unsportsmanlike and at worst punching down. And then on top of it, the piling on of a new club and the fact that a new club in higher level leagues struggles is also baffling. I’m not exactly sure what Metro has done to garner so much animosity.
There is nothing wrong with comments, criticism, or praise, even if you don't understand why PP or any others needs to do it on a website. If you believe it's appropriate to respond, do so, if it's ignorant, feel free to ignore. And on top of that, any club new or old, should stand behind their decisions and expect comments, whether praise or criticism. That's fair. It's fair to argue whether they are a competitive program in the area worth another look. Especially since there seems to be some controversy about new players and returning players from a program new to the area.
That doesn’t really explain the motivation though. It comes off more punching down then honest constructive criticism. Of course you’re free to do it and I’m free to think it is a pretty petty thing to bother doing. Criticizing a bad club is a pretty insecure thing to do.
