Yeah - he got drafted but only like a top third round pick. And he only got $500K signing bonus.  Loser. But we like the parents.  Kid bumbled through two minor league seasons then gets called up.  He does okay - not great. Still, what a loser right?  Couple seasons in he gets traded and started playing regular.  Still -geez - not like a Star right?  Sure he was n a Gold flick ever but that’s not hard.  Sure he made an all-star team or two, or three - like everyone doesn’t do that.  Yeah his current contract only pays him something like $12M a year, and I read estimates for signing are 5 years $20M - 25M per.  Like we are supposed to think that’s nice or something.
