Like other charter schools, pay is lower than DCPS and there is turnover. These teachers can also just leave MV for DCPS or the burbs. They have not and are trying to form a union. Other charter schools are closely monitoring the situation....... If they are successful, they will have set a successful template on achieving this, and I would not be surprised if other teachers at other charter schools follow suit.[/quote]
