This is simply not accurate as a blanket statement. Multiple kids in my child’s age group have been moved up midseason in previous years. Including from second team to top team. Other kids have been moved down to make room for the ones who got moved up. We have even seen a bit of movement in the middle of a season but that’s more rare. I suspect midseason changes are coming again based on things the coach has said. I don’t know what happens in other age groups, but PP should not speak as though they know what’s happening across the whole club. Valor definitely has issues but it’s just not true that changes are only made after spring tryouts. Sounds like PP’s experience was a problem with a specific coach being too chicken to piss off certain parents. I have been surprised at how many kids who have been moved down (or not moved up) actually stay. Some have left, but most have stayed. I think some of them know they’d be on an even lower team elsewhere.
-says someone in valor. Smuck.
It’s absolutely true it’s very extremely rare for them to do midseason bump ups.. and I’ve never heard of any team demoting midseason. I highly doubt any kid was moved down.
I can think of at least four kids moved down from first to second team midseason. Not sure about movement on other teams. Sorry you don’t believe it. I would never assume I know what’s going on across an entire organization when I only have experience with one part of it. You seem to get really upset when someone says anything about Valor that isn’t completely negative. I have said multiple times our experience has not been amazing and not sure we will stick around. Not sure how that makes me someone who works for Valor. You can tell those posts because they’re over the top positive. I think you have a strange obsession and probably just need to move on. When my kid has left a team or organization I don’t continue thinking about them and repeatedly post about them. I think you’re a little off balance.
