She lied about her sex tape "leak." The truth is, she and her mom, Kris Jenner, SOLD her sex tape to pornographer Vivid Entertainment, Inc. That fact is right in Ism Halpern's best selling biography "Kardashian Dynasty." And if that fact is untrue, then why haven't any of the Kardashians sued Halpern? (Maybe because truth is an absolute defense). And yet, Kim and Kris keep telling the lie that it was "leaked." (Bullshit!). So there's ample reason to believe this robbery could well have been faked. It is not victim-blaming to question whether there even was a victim, given Kim's total lack of credibility.
The tape was going to be leaked by the ex-boyfriend. They made a deal to sell it since it was going to come out anyway. If they sell it, then it's in their court on their terms. I'd do the same thing if something that embarrassing was going to be coming out either way. I think it's kind of weird to harbor so much hate for people on TV that you've never met or known and most of you say you have not even watched on TV. Weird. Yeah they're rich, yeah they're famous. Lots of people leaked sex tapes (Paris Hilton, Pam Anderson, that Teen Mom star) and none of them has turned such an embarrassing moment around to their benefit like the Kardashians. They have great business acumen and know how to hustle. They work for that money and fame day in, day out. Can't knock that.
And all this hate and they don't even know the real story! And while I would not want that to be my origin story, KK took hold of this and let it make her a millionaire many many many times over AND brought her family along for the ride. So good for her. She couldn't stop the video, but she won in the end.
And that's why so many women on DCUM and beyond hate this total stranger. She did what so many of them wish they could do, but cannot. Turn a turnip into a sweet fulfilling watermelon.
+1 Well said.
It may surprise you to find out that many people don't admire those who engage in porn and/or prostitution as a way to make a buck or millions.
You may not admire Kim or her huslte, but was she supposed to do? Go sit in a corner and cry? She turned things around and if they play their cards right, they'll be swimming in money for generations. I don't understand why people think she would fake this incident. Kim doesn't need ways to stay in the news. She is the news. Maybe not your news but everything she does is news. To millions.
At least you admit she's a fucking porn star who successfully profited from porn. What's wrong with porn right.
You've got issues. Try therapy.
+1 slutshaming is never the high ground. Unclench PP and snatch that stick out your hindparts
Rationalizing slutty behavior is never the high ground either. It's shameful and worthy of "slutshaming," as you call it. Young girls do not need to be exposed to trashy behavior as something to admire and emulate and think is okay.
