Nope they are not simply acknowledging ..too much promotion in terms of it is just a normal and everyday to have two dads as a dad and a mom and this is not everyday by a long stretch. Sort of like hey you can choose it's wonderful. NO It is highly unusual and to say that it is anything but highly unusual is just a lie and confusing. I don't think gay families should disappear that is not true and/or realistic but it's not the same. Promotion is giving so much attention to a miniscule part of the population. I would be shocked if even 1 percent of families in the USA were gay families. Our school literally had a promotion of how to attract gay families night. This has nothing to do with individual candidates, just who are the parents. It was weird and most people did not like it. I think many of us in the not liking it category are very pro gay marriage and pro gay rights. I didn't even try to discuss with my conservative friends at the school as I am not interested in hearing about why gay marriage is bad. In any event, I am sure a lot of people may not appreciate what I am saying esp on DCUM where many people are liberal to a point of being unrealistic. Frankly I think the pushing gay agenda approach turns people off and that would be a shame. I just don't care who someone is sleeping with but I do care how families are portrayed and I do care about posing provocative questions at a young age. I think discussions about anything gay should be held off until at least fifth grade and certainly not in the younger years and I don't think my role is to make a gay family feel comfortable at the expensive of confusing my children.
