However i would bet big that OP’s daughter is neuroatypical and likes to argue, ie high conflict individual.

So you can keep trying your 5 nice approaches every time and then let it drop off or law down the law on the 6th time. Either way, a daughter like that gets her way via temper tantrum- gets you to shut up and back down, or wants everyone to argue in circles forever. Until the mature person sets boundaries.
