That was the original goal with ECNL but that is not the goal with GA. And with the GA-blessing-by-US-Soccer and the MLSN clubs affiliating with GA, GA will be positioned as the NWSL/pro pathway, because folks think GA will mirror the MLSN-to-pro/MLS pathway.

I am glad it is not GA's goal because they suck at it.

Their is no pathway --- there is a loose alliance that means zero today at least.  It is what people enter into to see if there might be something to do in the future.  The PP who said 3-8 years is right.  And if they wanted to build something the alliance would be with NWSL not MSL.

Did anyone tell NWSL about this pathway?  The girls that go play pro now come from ECNL?  NWSL is not going to enter into anything that changes that over the next several years.  They do not have the money to do that.  If NWSL did do anything it would be an arrangement with ECNL.

The key on the girl's side is college.  Going pro is less than 1% of the girls.  [b]Most would not want it in any event.[/b]  Certainly not on the UMC/UC teams in this area.  Look at where people are going -- Ivies, Vandy, G'Town, even the high academic D3s.  Pro is not a priority except for a small few.

Yes they would.  There is almost no money in it and very few spots.  It is not the men’s game unless you can be marketed.  In this area these girls are going to med and law school.  And yes two DD playing in college.  [/quote]
