Let the girls decide which is more desirable, GA or ECNL, if the SYC girls go home instead of staying with Union, then you have your answer. If they donβt, you also have your answer. Your comment confirms the girls chose ECNL. Deal with it. If the 2012-2013 SYC girls beat NVA, FVU, Richmond, or Arlington girls of the same age, then you may have a point, until then all we know is that SYC girls chose ECNL at the older age groups. How about we petition the SYC coaches and ARL, NVA, FVU girls to scrimmage each other at the u little age groups. Then we would have a real answer instead of this nonsense you are repeating over and over and over on every thread all the time. Until then. This N VA commentary about GA being better at the 2012-2013 age group only is tiring and old. It is also not consistent with what the majority of older SYC girls have said by their actions. And as we know, actions speak louder than words. Not yours, they mean nothing. The actual girls playing soccer. Your words mean nothing.

For the 40 or so a year who could go pro I agree. For the rest, it is college. Look β- this is not an NBA or even NFL deal. You will not make money at this. There is no payoff at the end of the day. No pot of gold. If the kids were not UC or UMC maybe they would still try. But they have other stuff to do. For the top ones sure.

Not a club defender, but the best girls from 2011-2007 previously left SYC for the Union. SYC didn't break away until last year when they got GA. That is part of why SYC is significantly more dominant at 2012-2013 ages than 2007-2011 ages. I also think connections are important...but let's see if SYC can start getting some of their younger girls invitations by retaining their best players now.

It may not be realistic, but I don't know any who'd say they'd turn down a professional opportunity.
I know of at least one NWYNT player (actually played for the team) that turned down a pro opportunity because college was important. It happens.
