Boy, they sold that “we defeated a 49 army invasion” propaganda HARD!

No mention of getting literally bailed out over and over and over again by France, the U.K., the U.S. and recipients of U.S. direct foreign aid obliged to act at  our direction in mutual aid situations.

No mention of the fact that what they actually faced over and over again amounted to a group of disorganized high school marching bands, trying to protect their homelands but armed mostly with bayonet-level offensive weapons. Did you see the December 2024 photos of Syria’s navy? I’ve seen the carport of a Spanish fisherman with a more imposing fleet, FFS. Now, imagine what that navy looked like in 1948 … 1968 … 1973 … etc.
