Went to see it for nostalgia purposes, I loved Barbie - cut her hair, etc. Back in the day we only had one or two - no having more than that, generally. My daughter (now a teen) had a bunch (because of me) and never took to Barbie. She is seeing it this weekend with her friends. People who attended where I was were into it - dressed in pink, etc. I really wanted to like the movie, but almost walked out in the first 20 minutes - something I never do (nor do I send food back, as a reference). I appreciated the emotional tug re: the mom story line, but other than that, I got nothing. Agree with other PP that there is a LOT of money they need to recoup for this movie.
