You have no idea.  Lots of people in DC metropolitan area and beyond.  People at my office, acquaintances we know from college or our single years, relatives we haven't seen in a while, you name it. . . people.are.CLUELESS.  [/quote]

So. You would NEVER be friends with someone because of they don't know the chronology of when you adopted your chinese baby? Well this confirms my perception of white women that adopt chinese babies. They have some persecution complex and need a living and breathing banner of the huge chip that they carry around on their shoulder every day. Adopting a regular old white baby wouldn't give them that [b]instant tiger mom[/b] status they covet, either.[/quote]

I assume the poster meant people who know when the child was adopted and still ask the question.  I mean, if the child was adopted yesterday, then it's not an annoying question, right?[/quote]
