The lack of coverage of this R Kelly situation is absolutely evidence of racism and misogyny toward black women. If Justin Timberlake had done this there would have been gavel to gavel coverage on all the major networks OR if R. Kelly had been locking up and raping white women it would have been gavel to gavel. If Justin Timberlake had done this the public would have had a high time cutting down his accusers but in this case no one even bothered. That's how much they don't care. The fact of the matter is that many white people (not all) expect black men to act like R Kelly did and they don't see black women as having the same value and vulnerability as white women.
