Her view on abortion is pretty mainstream for centrist Democrats and is even supported by the party. Even Steny Hoyer defends her stance as he has done for other Democrats with similar beliefs where he has said, “we're a diverse party. We have diverse opinions."

Yes Democrats can have a big tent approach for one random rep from TX, when he’s one vote amongst 430 or so. I care a lot more when there is one person who serves as a governor with veto power over legislation.

Schultz has voted pro life every single time. She’s never voted for any abortion rights bill as a state rep. She sponsored legislation in 2011 that would have effectively banned abortion in the state. She may say she respects MD voters and precedent but I’m not buying that again from any Republican.[/quote]
