If the only reason pp voted for Youngkin was because McAuliffe was a uniquely poor candidate and the others who ran against him in the primary would have been acceptable, then most likely pp would have split their ticket and voted for Herring. If pp instead voted a straight Republican ticket, that suggests pp wouldn’t have voted for a Democrat no matter what, making their post above awfully disingenuous.[/quote]
