SYC generated buzz when they had a big influx of players come from LMVSC.  Since then, every year they've had players leave the top team.  The 2003 boys are their best (and oldest) team; not many players left.  One or two from the 2004 team left, then a few from their 2005s and 2006s et cetera.  Their numbers will slowly dwindle; and this is why they decided to partner with Manassas and McLean.  [b]They're not in the interest of investing in developing players, they're in the interest of recruiting players for wins.  Wins equal 'success' and league status.  This is their business model.[/b]

Arlington, Alexandria, and yes I agree with you VDA are the best at investing and development for even after they go to college.  Many of these SYC players can play one brand of football; that's not the most ideal situation for $2500 a year for club fees (before you throw in team fees).[/quote]

Agree, at LMVSC they used to take pride on bringing scholarship kids in and now SYC is having to deal with more than they can keep up. It's a business.
