God you people are so insulting. I’ve had asthma and allergies my whole life, diagnosed through allergy testing. I wish I could just “think” them away!
I agree! Maybe nut allergies are just anxiety. How does that sound? To the pp who asked if I just don't go outside: I'm not allergic to every scent out there. I avoid detergent and cleaning aisles. I will turn around and go the opposite direction of some dimwit who had to share their favorite scent. Or smells of cigarette smoke. Inhalers and allergy meds are part of daily life. I lose my voice at least once/year. Sleep sitting up some nights so I can breathe. When ds was little his asthma was so bad that I couldn't work. All it took for a trip to the ER was a windy day in the spring or fall. I kept him inside a lot. Many daycares would not even consider enrolling him. If we went anywhere different I had to know where the hospital was. He had 2 attacks that could have been fatal if the hospital had been very far away. People still continue to poo-poo the problem though.
That's not about perfume. BTW, loads of businesses have had lobby scenting for over a decade now. If you shop, work, or go on vacation, you have been exposed. If there hasn't been an attack, perhaps there's something going on here.
