Think along the lines of Henry VIII.  He kills Anne Boleyn for many reasons, but chief among them is her inability to give him a son.  Because it was SO important to leave a male to rule.  He cuts off Anne's head, marries his mistress, gets his longed-for boy.... but the mistress dies in child bed and that always-sickly boy dies young and never really gets to rule.  Instead one of the greatest monarchs England ever knows is.... Elizabeth I, Anne Boleyn's dissapointingly-gendered child.  Karma!

Henry also goes on to have a series of disappointing marriages, no more additional children, the world-renowned cheater loses his virility, and he dies fairly young, a bloated, fat, impotent mess.  If he had stayed with Anne, who knows how his fate might have been different?
 
But on DCUM you can't complain about, say, I dunno, your kids jumping on the bed because someone will come on the thread and say, OH THANKS ALOT MY KIDS DON'T HAVE LEGS and ruin the karmic retribution.  [/quote]
