My roommate in grad school was a nanny and used to do this!  I never understood how she got so much work done during the day while caring for a 6 month old until she told me just put him down for a nap and let him go for 4 hours.

She'd also serve them fast food for lunch/dinner but tell the kids it was something she'd made.  The parents were very much against fast food and prided themselves on their kids never having had a Happy Meal.  She then sold the Happy Meal toys on eBay, which back then netted her some good cash.  Foreign people loved buying the fast food toys for some reason?!  Then she'd bring home random food from their house that the parents had bought, which meant we were always eating expensive organic meats and veggies.  So they bought organic steak, she served the kids some steak fajitas from the local Tex-Mex restaurant, and brought the steak home for us to grill up.  She had a nice little setup going for at least the two years I lived with her.  The parents would give her an allowance each week to use on the kids for extras, which is what she'd use for the fast food.
