When do you guys think the shutdown will end?
Once democrats grow up, decide to get up off their ass, and prioritize America and the American values that are the foundation of MAGA.
Wait. Democrats have been in DC this whole time while GOP are home jerking off. They aren’t even holding town halls! How are Dems lazy? I don’t expect an answer from this because I know, something something, socialist, something something.
Democrats have been working this entire time. It's the lazy ass Republicans who have left DC and don't seem to care. Even though they are in charge of all three branches of government.
Democrats' work has been to oppose taking a vote on a bill that would fund the government for two months, now less than one month.
That is one way of looking at it. Another way of looking at it is that we are supposed to have a compromise government based on the three branches and then the senate rules of 60 votes for certain legislation. The GOP decided to forgo the 60 vote rule in passing the BBB, and thus no compromise with the Democrats. Now, the GOP needs the 60 votes per senate rules, but since the democrats had no part of writing the BBB, there is no reason for them to support it now, which is what the GOP is asking. The GOP has two options: 1) change the rules as they have several times already, and pass the funding with a majority vote, or 2) compromise with the democrats on the issue of healthcare subsidies for the workers of the country as a ballast to the trillions of dollars of tax cuts for the rich.
Or they can vote on appropriations bills that cannot be filibustered. Democrats are shutting down the government over a month of funding at same levels.
