Does anyone who was there feel like recapping the Bullis game??
The first time Bullis and STA played, it was back and forth, and was a one goal game until the last second when STA was in a desperation defense against the clock, and Bullis scored to ice it 10-8, so pretty close. This game was similar. STA scored first, but the goal was called back (looked like crease violation). STA then scored again to take a 1-0 lead. They would not lead again until OT. Bullis scored the next 3 goals to take a 3-1 lead, and then the teams traded goals to 6-4 Bullis at the half. At one point in the second half, the score was 7-6 Bullis on a pretty STA pole goal and it looked like STA had momentum, then Bullis opened up a 9-6 lead and it looked like they would roll. STA kept clawing back, making defensive stops and scoring 3 in a row to make it 9-9 at the end of regulation. Each team had multiple players leave the field hurt, some cramping but also several game stoppages for what in the old days would have been called getting your bell rung. STA looked like they were grabbing guys from the parking lot to find subs. Surprisingly nonexistent penalty calls, and both sets of fans were convinced they were getting screwed. Both teams played very hard, credit to them, back and forth game. Each team had one guy with a hat trick and otherwise scored by committee, team effort. Either team could have won or lost at the end of the game or in OT, probably anyone watching would have assumed close game but Bullis will have the last possession and score/win. Don't know the percentages but FO from STA took over in the second half and won both in OT including the fast break goal. Both goalies made critical stops down the stretch or it would have ended in regulation or 1 OT.
