....but it doesn't matter that you claim to SUPPORT THE FIGHT because, when push comes to shove, you don't let the homeless shelter get built, or the school boundary to be drawn.  The elected officials know what's up.  They know they don't need to follow through on any of those promises for better schools, or affordable housing, or desegregation.  It's lip service, because everyone know that if they actually tried, their constituents would mutiny.  [/quote]
