And then you use that conversation, with a minor child, to make assumptions about their family and whether or not their parents are evil residence cheaters. Because that's the kind of mom you are! I'd say these kids in pg who aren't good enough for your kids are quite fortunate, not living close enough for playdates.
Listen. I am not reporting any of these children, nor am I trying to work them for information. I don't have kids over for indoor playdates without the permission of their parents, and frankly, most parents and guardians aren't thrilled to have playdates with parents they don't know at all. I have often had kids into our yard for popsicles or juice boxes if they are all playing outside together and it's okay with whoever is minding them. The kids are fine and sweet and I'm happy they feel comfortable with our family. But when they tell you they attend a local school and they also live in Maryland, it's residency fraud. And yes, I think it's shitty of the parents to do that to them. I get that you think it's fine for parents to defraud the system based on their personal needs, but it is still 100 percent wrong. There are plenty of DC kids who deserve DC resources ahead of kids from other states.
