The woman is mentally ill. I find it appalling how little sympathy people have for her. It's the fault of the family who were supposed to make sure the kids were not left alone with her. If this had happened today, her DH and her parents would be held accountable. I findi it sickening that her DH wants her in jail. She is insane. How is that her fault?[/quote]

She is mentally ill, but she is not insane.

She knew what she did was wrong and that’s why she hid it. If she was truly insane, she would’ve killed the children right in front of her father.

Even if you’re mentally ill, you should be held accountable for your crimes.

If you are insane, then you go to a mental hospital.

She is a very intelligent, cold and calculated human who knows exactly what she did and she knows that was wrong and she needs to go to jail for it.

That's a crazy assumption you just made -- because she didn't kill her children in front of their father, she should be held accountable as a sane person. We don't even know what happened to those children. One thing we DO know is that the mother is mentally ill.[/quote]
