No. I’m living this now. It’s not just that he’s overweight, it’s that he’s overweight and does nothing about it. He eats lunch out every day, has a beer nearly every evening, will order extra portions of greasy sides when we go out, never exercises. So. Many. Calories. If he was doing everything possible to live healthy that would be one thing, but he just doesn’t seem to care. It’s gross. We’ve been married 20 years and have multiple kids and I’m ~10 lbs heavier than when we met, but he’s ~50 lbs heavier. I want to call his doctor and beg her to tell him to lose weight so I’m not the nasty wife.
Ugh. I’m a DH who gained 50 lbs, but I never eat lunch out (usually it’s a tuna salad or something), don’t drink, and exercise 2-3 times a week. I think I just eat too much of “healthy things” like nuts or whole grain bread. I eat so many vegetables, and only chicken and fish. And your DH eats what he wants and weighs the same, it’s crushing. Makes me want to even stop trying.
PP, have you test your vitamin D level? You are doing all the right things, may want to try eat last meal by no later than 8 pm, and breakfast no earlier than 8 am. You should be able to not gain anymore and start losing a pound or two per month. GL
